Amadablam Expedition

Description : Ama Dablam is surely one of the most beautiful of mountains and probably the most striking of views. From one angle the mountain sits serenely with its ridges extending towards you like welcoming arms whilst high on the South-West face a hanging glacier resembles a Dablam, the sacred ornamental box worn by the Sherpini, and from which the mountain takes its name.

Days 01 : Trip commences in Kathmandu, introductions and formalities (1336m)

Days 02 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley

Days 03-04 : Preparation & official briefing in Kathmandu

Days 05 : Lukla (2880m) by air in morning, then trek to Phakding (2800m)

Days 06 : Namche Bazaar (3446m)

Days 07 : Thyangboche (3867m)

Days 08 : Ama Dablam Base Camp & set up camp (4800m)

Days 09-24 : Climbing period to Ama Dablam (6856m)

Days 25 : Thyangboche(3867m)

Days 26 : Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Days 27 : Phakding (2780m)

Days 28 : Lukla

Days 29 : Kathmandu by air

Days 30 : Day in Kathmandu - debriefing/sightseeing/shopping/optional rock-climbing

Days 31 : Trip concludes in Kathmandu
