CYMRU NEPAL WALES
Kamal in Wales with Morfudd, Cemlyn and other Wales friends and on treks/expedition in Nepal during the year 2000 - 2007.
1. I am so glad to met Morfudd Thomas and Cemlyn Jones for the first time in June 2000, on their first traveling in Nepal. I have guided them a short trek to Ghorepani Poon hill 5 days in the Annapurna region and toward Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m.
2. Then we had been corresponding through e-mail further I informed them for different parts of Nepal trek. Again, Morfudd & Cemlyn traveled to Nepal with 2 more friends Dr. Rhodri from North Wales Bangor and Mr. Bruce Lane from South Wales, Everest region trek in 2003 March/April for 3 weeks. Trek went over Gokyo lake 4790m, Gokyo Ri 5357m, Chola pass 5350m, Kala Pather 5550m, which last destination and closest views of Mt. Everest and other peaks between 7 and 8 thousand meters. They had summit Lobuche East 6119m and Pokalde 5806m. Successfully; so, they became very satisfied from that expedition.
3. Morfudd has traveled for 3rd time with 11 Wales people in 2006 April and herself altogether 12 in the team. Trek was in Annapurna circuit, went over Tilicho Lake the highest Lake in the World 4920m, Thorong La pass 5416m. and Chulu West 6419m. But it couldn't summit successfully because of the bad weather (Heavy snowing); who were going to climb about 9 of them had summit nearly 6100m only.
5. Morfudd has just finished her 5th time trip in October - November 2007 with 8 of Wales people and herself. Trekking duration was 22 Days. Trek began from Rolwalling valley and ended at Lukla in the Everest region. Trek was over the Tashi Lapcha pass 5755m.And climbed Ramdung-Go Peak 5930m.and Pachhermo peak 6273m. Trip was success and everyone was very happy. Definitely, my company had been very glad for successful trip and their satisfaction.
6. I must heartily thanks lots to Morfudd, Cemlyn and other People from N.S.Wales and all over U.K. including my friends, relatives, and more Nepali people have been gained employment with help of yours traveling in Nepal. I should not think only from business view point that I should think relation of friendship too. My goal is to inform and request to the people of Wales to travel in Nepal. Keep attention that not to be expensive travel to Nepal.
Not this all, I was also very lucky to met with Morfudd, Cemlyn, Dr. Rhodri, Bruce since only I obtained a opportunity to traveled North Wales in 2005, which was my first time to be in the sea side. I have a memory that fishing with Dr. Rhodri and his 2 sons Hieun & Sion in Anglsey but couldn't catch fish. We became greedy that other people did catch big fish. So on I enjoyed a lot spending time in North Wales which I found similar Nepal the wild goats, Cattles ship and farms, mountains/hills including Snowdonia, Cripcorck with Morfudd, Cemlyn and Rhodri several time climbed. Snowdonia is not big as Everest ha ha ! Very friendly, kind and lovely Wales people. I must visit back them again soon next time.
