About Nepal

The tiny mountain kingdom of Nepal, sandwiched between two giant neighbors has today become one of the most popular tourist destinations of the world. Nepal, blessed with a wide variety of natural beauty and people, has a wealth of tourists attraction to suits all tastes. Trekking, river rafting, wildlife, historical sites, pilgrim center, scenic beauty with peace and tranquility of the Himalayas are some of the Nepal's gift for the tourist. To many tourists the mere utterance of the name Nepal raises a sense of adventure and excitement. It is the country which flashes the image of Mt. Everest, Gautam Buddha, Gurkha Soldiers, the Jungle of Terai, Mighty Himalayan River and remote virgin areas.
Nepal is also known as the land of Himalayas and abode of gods. There are about 100 peaks of over 7000m and out of 14 peaks of over 8000m eight are in Nepal. The most famous ones are Mt. Everest, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Kanchanjunga. The hills and mountains have made Nepal a mountaineers and trekkers paradise.
